Meet our staff

Tracy Christner is the Executive Director of Project GRACE (Guidelines for Resuscitation And Care at End-of-life), an affiliate of the Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater, Florida.  She is a Certified Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning Instructor receiving her training at Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. 

TracyChristnerTracy provides professional and community education and programs about healthcare decision-making in addition to providing individual and family advance care planning services. She facilitates the Advance Care Planning Community Partnership, a consortium of nurses, chaplains, social workers and other professionals and has recently started assisting with the efforts of the Florida POLST initiative.

Passionately focused on removing barriers, Tracy is working to address disparities in the use of advance directives in the African American and Hispanic communities.

She graduated with a B.S. degree in Management from Nova Southeastern University.

Project GRACE is a nonprofit advance care planning education program that helps individuals and professionals create, communicate and honor future medical care wishes. Founded in 1999, Project GRACE's mission is to educate the community about effective advance care planning, empower individuals to communicate and implement their medical treat¬ment decisions and promote the belief that all persons are entitled to dignified care in the final phase of life.


Karen Milne is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Project GRACE an affiliate of the Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas County, Florida. She is a Certified Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning Facilitator. Karen Milne

Karen's passion about effective Advance Care Planning stems from personal family experiences.  "There shouldn't be anything in the way of someone completing an Advance Directive", says Karen.  She provides professional and community presentations throughout the Tampa Bay area and is one of the most sought after speakers on this subject. 

Karen has thirty years experience working in the Tampa Bay area and is also responsible for Project GRACE's fundraising efforts, quarterly newsletters, volunteer training and development.

Karen also brought Toastmasters International to Suncoast Hospice called Suncoast Caring Community, where she is the President. They meet every Thursday from 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm at Suncoast Hospice Garden House located at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater. Karen is an accomplished speaker and has competed and won several club and area speaking contests. She was also past VP of Marketing at the EpiCenter Toastmasters.
